Central Florida Expressway Authority


The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFEA) is a state highway authority in the United States that operates the Central Florida Expressway.

The CFEA was created in 1987 and is headquartered in Orlando.

The CFEA has jurisdiction over all of central Florida, including most of Orange County and Seminole County.

It also has responsibility for building, maintaining, and expanding the expressways within its jurisdiction.

The CFEA was created as part of the original Interstate Highway System when it was approved by Congress on November 3, 1957.

The original I-4 ran from Miami to Tampa through central Florida.

The first section of I-4 between Miami and Sanford was built as part of the original route. it opened to traffic on December 15, 1958.

In 1967, I-4 was extended east to Orlando.

this extension became known as State Road 441 (SR 441).

In 1987, SR 441 was rerouted along the current Central Florida Expressway alignment.

In 1990, SR 441 was truncated at its eastern terminus at US 1 near Kissimmee. this portion of SR 441 now forms part of State Road 436 (SR 436).

In 1992, SR 436 became concurrent with US 1 southbound between Sanford and Kissimmee. this portion of SR 436 now forms part of State Road 455 (SR 455).

In 1995, the CFEA completed construction on two new expressways:

State Road 575 (SR 575) connects Sanford to Ocala via US 192/State Road 2nd Avenue. and State Road 624 (SR 624) connects Melbourne to Winter Garden via US 27/State Road 408A (SR 408A).

These two new expressways were designated portions of I-4s that had been truncated prior to their completion.





Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority


The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) is a public agency that provides transportation and communication services to the central Texas area.

The CTRMA was created in 1987 as a result of the merger of the Austin-based Metropolitan Transit Authority and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Transportation Authority.

The CTRMA is headquartered in Austin, TX.

The CTRMA oversees a network of bus, train, and taxi services that serve more than 1 million passengers each month.

The CTRMA also offers a variety of other transportation options such as bike/walk, boat/canoe, and airplane tickets.

In addition to its statewide service, the CTRMA operates local service within its five regional districts:

Austin-Round Rock.

Dallas-Fort Worth.

El Paso.

San Antonio.

and Houston.

The CTRMA has been involved in many projects over the years including developing new transit systems such as METROLink which opened in 2013 and connects downtown Austin with Midtown Dallas and South Side Houston.

creating an express bus system called Texan Express which runs between downtown Austin and various suburban destinations.

building a new airport terminal in Round Rock that opened in 2009.

providing funding for several major road projects including I-35W from east to west through Travis County into downtown Austin.

and expanding access to public transportation through partnerships with local universities, businesses, and government entities.





North Central Regional Health Authority


The North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) is a regional health authority in the United States that provides health care services to the residents of the Midwest and South.

The NCRHA was created in 1978 as part of the National Institutes of Health's Office of Disease Control and Prevention.

It is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The NCRHA has jurisdiction over all of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

parts of Iowa and Missouri. and parts of Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

The NCRHA also has responsibility for providing primary care to patients in those states as well as providing ambulance service to patients with serious medical emergencies.

The NCRHA is a member organization of the American Nurses Association (ANA), American Medical Association (AMA), American Psychiatric Association (APA), National Academy of Sciences (NAS), World Health Oragnization (WHO), and International Federation for Clinical Research (IFCR).





North Central Solid Waste Authority


The North Central Solid Waste Authority (NCSA) is a government-owned and operated solid waste management authority in the United States.

The NCSA was created in 1984 as part of the Reagan Administration's effort to reduce federal spending on Solid Waste Management Agency programs.

The NCSA manages land, water, and air resources for the City of Chicago.
